About us

Founded by Mike Jeffreys, Sam Leighton-Smith, and Chris Russell in early 2010, Compass launched to focus on the independent UK senior living markets, quickly growing to encompass the healthcare, and specialist care markets shortly afterwards.

As the business grew in line with demand, the group introduced new service offerings, and office locations, before moving into the life sciences, biopharmaceutical, medtech, medical devices, and pharma services sectors. Compass Recruitment Solutions was introduced as the parent company through which the dedicated brands operate through, enabling the individual brands in the group to continue to offer a unique focus, dedicated expertise, but benefit from group-wide central support.

The group’s ability to delivery C-suite and executive search services for board-level talent at businesses, and cross-sell the services of contingent sister recruitment brands in the group has been an integral part of our success. In 2024, private equity investor, Cow Corner recognised the excellence CRS provides and invested in the group to help accelerate our organic and inorganic growth.

We have welcomed several new brands into the group complementing the existing and adjacent market areas of expertise and have grown our reach in the US and EMEA territories as we continue to provide an outstanding level of services to the global health, care, and life sciences sectors.
