CRS announces Core Values winners at End of Year Conference 2023

April 20, 2023

With a new financial year upon us, it was once again time for the annual CRS End of Year Conference. This event sees us reflect on the internal success of the past year, and announce the winners of our internal Core Values Awards.

About the CRS End of Year Conference

This event sees us bring all teams from Portsmouth, London and Manchester together to reflect on the successes of the past year and plans for the year ahead. The conference is then followed by an evening to celebrate the hard work and recognition of all teams and brands across the business over the last 12 months.

Compass CRS End of Year Conference 2023

What are the Compass Core Value Awards?

Prior to the conference, the internal leadership team recently looked back over the last twelve months to reflect on our internal Core Values Awards. These were then presented at our recent End of Year Conference, giving the opportunity to celebrate the fantastic acts of selflessness, reflecting the culture here at CRS.

The Core Value Awards are based on our brand values and are presented to employees of all Compass brands, based on nominations from employees and recognition for their overall performance. The Senior Leadership Team then meets to determine the winners of our Core Values Awards.

The Core Values Awards Category winners

The directors had an incredibly tough decision to select the winners of each category, but the following nominees were selected due to their outstanding contributions to their respective Compass brands and wider business.

Teamwork category WINNER: Christian Hannam

Christian is a regular when it comes to this category and has been nominated several times by his peers across multiple divisions. Christian can often be found offering guidance, passing leads or providing market insights to consultants across relevant divisions, as well as regularly going above and beyond his day-to-day responsibilities.

Professional Development category WINNER: Harry Oakey

Harry has really taken the opportunity with both hands to continue to grow professionally, which has seen him pass his final AAT exams to become fully qualified resulting in his promotion to Head of Accounting last year.  He has managed this with the ever-increasing workload in the day-to-day at Compass.  Harry always gets the job done and is not only on hand whilst out on study leave, but he ensures that all his main tasks are completed and is in early to crack on with work and stays on late when needed. Not wanting to stop at his AAT qualification, Harry has now started to study towards his ACCA qualification and we’ll watch this space as he continues to excel in all that he sets out to achieve.

Delivery of Service category WINNER: Louise Holmes

After winning the rising star award last year, Louise has continued her consistency and delivery with several clients. Her stats speak for themselves; An average of 2.7 interviews per week and a 94.9% interview attendance, which is a testament to the excellent service Louise delivers to her clients, made all the more impressive considering its her first year in recruitment.

Professionalism & Integrity category WINNER: Gavin Fox

This is Gavin’s second year being nominated in this category, and is highly deserving of this. In a tricky sector, navigating the interim market with the most demanding of candidates and clients, Gavin’s professionalism and integrity remain at the forefront of the service he provides. These qualities are mirrored internally and are an attribute Gavin should be extremely proud of.

Entrepreneurial Spirit category WINNER: Natasha Isaac

Joining the business with experience gave Natasha a kickstart in recruitment, and whilst there were several ready made desks to work on, Tash decided to develop her own. Embracing a Physio desk which was historically under-developed with c£50k annual revenues, Tash immersed herself in the sector, winning an abundance of new clients resulting in £160k of new business, and future growth for the northern office.

Flexibility & Adaptability category WINNER: Laura Frampton

Laura is very deserving of her nomination for the Flexibility & Adaptability core value. Laura’s working week is never set in stone – often being pulled from pillar-to-post with last minute requests, whilst she remains on-hand to help with all types of demands. The quality of what is presented to candidates and clients is first-class, with consultants from all brands benefitting from her willingness to go above and beyond – often working well beyond her agreed hours to ensure the job is done. Well done Laura, you’re a star!

Best Newcomer Award WINNER: Amie Lovelock

Amie joined the business only 12 months ago in a trainee capacity initially, and her approach to work has been nothing but outstanding. She is early in the office every day and has consistently high call minutes making her quickly develop into a 360 consultant within CLS.

Since then, Amie has excelled throughout her short time with us, and has become a highly valued and well-respected member of the team and wider organisation. She achieved 122% of target for the year, placing roles ranging from entry level to senior business hires. She presents herself in a very professional way, is welcoming to new staff and is fully deserving of her recent promotion to Senior Consultant, despite having only had 9 months of target herself! She has also had a solid start to the new financial year, already smashing her Q1 target, putting her in a fantastic position to develop further within the business!

This is only a snapshot of the very positive first 12 months of Amie’s career with Compass, making her the obvious choice for “The Best Newcomer Award” this year! Well done, Amie!
