Compass Associates supported Optegra Eye Health Care – a European ophthalmology platform operating across multiple geographic territories – with an exclusive partnership to support the UK team growth as part of their corporate strategy to gain investment to grow operations further.

The Healthcare division at Compass Associates had previously partnered with Optegra as a trusted recruitment advisor and had seen considerable success over the course of three years. Subsequently, the business requested an exclusive mandate for the team to deliver against key criteria, owing to the track record of delivery, and intricate understanding of the business the team had developed.

In the course of the campaign, Compass supported Optegra with salary surveys, tailored candidate packs, market insights reports and additional value-add content including in-depth competitor analysis reporting in order to ensure that Optegra was benchmarking themselves as competitively as possible, in order to create a strong EVP and BVP to prospective candidates looking to join the business.

Between March 2022 – February 2023, the clinical Healthcare division at Compass Associates were responsible for sending 153 candidates for consideration, generating 100 interviews and more than 30 placements at the business. Example completed assignments include:

Optegra offers a range of procedures including cataract, AMD, and vision correction for both public and private patients. The company operates 29 facilities and performs over 100,000 surgical procedures per year. In November 2022, Private Equity firm MidEuropa entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Optegra Eye Health Care.
